Element’s song is among the top 5 hits in East Africa

Our news website has prepared for you the top five most popular songs in East Africa in this first week of May. This is a regular feature in order to continue promoting music.

As usual, the Rwanda Diva Awards has been rewarding artists who have performed well in different categories, but this time it is going to be held in East Africa where it will provide you with a list of popular artists and DJs.

This time we have selected five popular songs, dominated by Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz. In making this list, we are based on the most viewed songs and how they are played in many different places, both in dance halls and on social media.

1. Final (Bien Aime ft Ali Kiba)

The song Final by Kenyan artist Bien Aime, who collaborated with Tanzanian Ali Kiba, led the others in the charts at the beginning of May. It has now been viewed by over 25 million people on YouTube.

2. Happy (Diamond Platnumz)

Diamond’s song Happy is also one of the most popular, and has been out for a month. Looking at platforms like Spotify, Boom Play, shazam especially and tiktok, you can say that it is leading the others in terms of the most plays.

3. AYAYAAH (ELEMENT EleéeH, Joshua Baraka & Bien)

Ayayaah is a song by artist and producer Element from Rwanda who collaborated with other artists including Bien from Kenya and Joshua Baraka from Uganda. It was released on April 22, 2026.

4. Joy (ikweji) – Diamond Platnumz ft Jux JOY

The song Joy or Ikweli in Swahili is a song by Tanzanian artists Diamond Platnumz and Jux. This song has been out for about a month now but has already become a huge hit on TikTok with people doing dance challenges to it.

5. I love You (Zuchu)

Zuchu is undoubtedly the number one female singer in East Africa in terms of making songs that are more popular than others. She is also the girl who appeared on our list today with her song ‘I love you’ which is one of the most popular songs.
